Freud, Skinner, Piaget, Rogers, and Dąbrowski—founders of psychology whose thought stemmed from medicine and the health sciences. At Poznań University, we draw on these common roots, creating a space for integrating diverse approaches and specializations. We work based on EBM and EBP, combining reliable scientific knowledge of brain function and physiology with an understanding of the history and development of psychology. Our mission is to strengthen collaboration between specialists from various fields of medicine and to build an environment in which interdisciplinarity becomes the natural foundation for mental health care.

      Pillars of the Akademia Poznania

      Scientific foundation

What sets us apart is our thorough approach to content verification. This isn't a collection of subjective opinions, but a platform based on academic standards, and each thesis presented stems from an analysis of peer-reviewed literature and scientific consensus. For a specialist, this provides an essential filter, separating information noise and pop science from knowledge you can safely rely on in your professional work.

      From theory to application

A key advantage is the unique methodology for translating science, which goes beyond describing biological phenomena and systematically transforms raw research data into specific operational procedures. For professionals, it provides a ready-made model for operationalizing knowledge, demonstrating how to effectively implement theoretical discoveries in real-world clinical, training, and therapeutic scenarios.

      The voice of authority

We serve as knowledge curators. Instead of duplicating publicly available information, we aggregate the perspectives of leaders—from neurobiology to clinical medicine. This allows specialists to gain insight into interdisciplinary exchange of ideas at the academic level and draw on paradigms that define global directions for scientific development.

Scientific Council of the Akademia Poznania

The members of the Poznań University Scientific Council are outstanding specialists who passionately shape the future of their fields. Their extensive experience, diverse perspectives, and significant scientific and research achievements form the foundation of our training programs. This unique blend of theory and practice allows for a holistic approach to education, creating comprehensive programs that fully reflect the complexity of modern science. As a result, our graduates acquire comprehensive knowledge and are perfectly prepared to face even the most challenging professional challenges. A deep commitment to scientific advancement, supported by the multifaceted clinical and professional experience of each Council member and the entire faculty team, is a key element of our mission.
